WORLDVENTURES – REVIEW (2021) LEGIT? SCAM? READ NOW!

Hi, and welcome to my WorldVentures review!

Who is WorldVentures, and can you actually earn money selling WorldVentures products: i.e., travel memberships? Fun, Freedom & Fulfillment appears to be the company’s tagline, and really who doesn’t want to make money while traveling, right?   First, what is an MLM company? Is WorldVentures legit or a scam? What kind of customer service do they provide? How do you join this company? What does the WorldVentures Compensation Plan look like? I’m going to answer these questions and maybe more : ) in this review. So I hope you enjoy reading my WorldVentures Review!

WorldVentures is an MLM company, which sells travel membership with a variety of membership plans. They were founded in 2005 by Wayne Nugent and Dan Stammen, who felt travel should be an essential part of life. (A Great Concept, by the way) The WorldVentures headquarters is located in Plano, Texas, USA.

What is an MLM Company?

I’m going to try and describe briefly what an MLM company is. Multi-level marketing (MLM) Multi-Level-Marketing is a type of business model in which individual representatives receive commissions for selling products. This can happen through a variety of methods, including direct sales, referrals, or word-of-mouth. However, representatives also receive financial compensation by having people in their downline who are also selling the company’s products.

When the downline members make a sale, the person who recruited them also makes money. This hierarchical commission model is dependent on both product sales and future sign-ups. MLM companies are notorious for overpriced marketing products. More than likely, this is because they have to pay their representatives commissions on top of what the company makes.

WorldVenture – Dream Trips

DreamTrips are World Ventures’ travel packages, which are sold to travel club members at a discount. They have packages to destinations worldwide – Mexico, New Zealand, and Japan are just a few of the locations they offer.

Are DreamTrips Worth the Memberships?

To access or view the prices on DreamTrips, you must first be a member. To become a member, there are some sign-up fees involved, which is typical with any MLM, since this is how they primarily make their money. WorldVentures also charges a monthly fee on top of the sign-up fee to keep your membership active and receive commissions.

Remember, even if you sign up for WorldVentures to take advantage of the travel deals and packages, you’d probably always have to be on vacation. An awesome life, maybe, but not very practical. With the initial sign-up and monthly membership fees, it stacks up quite quickly. You’ll probably end up spending more money than you earn or save.

Can you Earn Money through WorldVentures?

There is some earning potential for WorldVentures. But first, you must become an “Independent Representative” and in order to do this, you must be sponsored by an existing member. Unfortunately, as with all MLMS, decent earnings are often limited to those at the top of the pyramid.

Despite the lawsuits and investigations from 2017-2018, WorldVentures continued to claim legitimacy, even while claiming to face short-term challenges that caused delays in commission payouts. Commission payouts were supposed to be managed by members through an e-wallet, accessible via a back office login provided by WorldVentures when you signed up. However, there are still plenty of complaints accessible, which pretty much meant no payment.

The same goes for customer complaints. I found so many complaints regarding this company. It seemed most of the positive reviews came from representatives of the company. Probably, hoping to promote their business. However, in general, there were far more poor reviews than good ones. Even the BBB only gave this company a C+ and would not give it their stamp of approval. BBB WorldVentures

If the Company WorldVentures, is unable to maintain happy customers, this will obviously affect your bottom dollar.

WorldVentures Compensation Plan

The WorldVentures compensation plan is the same as in most MLM businesses and is in a pyramid shape. When you start your business, you get placed at the top of the pyramid, and when you start to build a team. The bigger your team, the more money you can make.

I think the WorldVentures Compensation plan looks pretty complicated because they use two types of organizational structures, which are called Lineage and Binary. Therefore, I thought I would attach a copy of the Compensation Plan, so you can take a look at it yourself if you want. Basically, when it comes to earning money with WorldVentures by using these methods, you either first, Sell the company’s products (travel packages) and earn a commission or, second, recruit people into the system under you and earn recurring commissions.

Is WorldVentures – Legit? or a Scam?

Let me say, No, I do not believe WorldVentures is a scam. First, it has been around since 2005, and they do have an actual product they are selling. I also believe that a certain personality type fits this business model.

Even though it is not impossible, it is a challenging business model to make money with. Additionally, your success with the MLM structure depends on your team members, who signed up under you.  Unless they are active and making sales, your earning potential is limited. To achieve success, you must be good at selling and have a strong team under you.

One must also remember that there’s no substitute for hard work, consistency, and self-motivation when it comes to success with any business, especially an online business.

However, now that I’ve said that, I don’t recommend getting involved with this particular MLM company. Here’s why…

In 2017, the Company was sued, and a class-action complaint was brought against WorldVentures for misrepresenting the amount of money a representative could earn. This lawsuit also claims that WorldVentures is not only an MLM but also a pyramid scheme. In December 2020, WorldVentures filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which triggered an automatic stay in the aforementioned lawsuit. Apart from many complaints, BBB also has a warning against WorldVentures for misleading information about their product to consumers before purchase.

If you were intrigued enough into buying a WorldVentures membership and want out, cancellation is possible by emailing or calling their customer service contacts. However, many former members have complained about the difficulty of getting ahold of a customer service representative to attend to their concerns and especially to get any form of a refund if one was requested.

Final Thoughts

Essentially, as always, I leave the decision in your hands. Although I don’t know about you, I don’t have the personality to convince people to join my “team”. This aspect of multi-level marketing has always been off-putting to me. I think it takes a certain personality type to push this type of agenda, and you must have people in your downline if your goal is to make money.
